Your Guide to a Smooth Visit
Insurance & Billing
Do you take my insurance?
Premier Imaging participates in most major insurance plans. Because coverage can vary, we recommend two simple steps:
- Feel free to contact our office with your insurance information, and we can help verify participation.
- Contact your insurance provider directly for specific details about your plan's coverage for your exam.
Will you file my insurance claim for me?
What will I need to pay at the time of my visit?
Can I pay my bill online?
Yes, you can. For your convenience, we offer secure online bill pay through our patient portal.
Scheduling & Appointments
How do I schedule an appointment?
Can I come in today? Do you accept walk-ins?
We strive to accommodate your schedule with same-day appointments whenever possible. While it's always best to call ahead, we do have walk-in availability for certain exams, like X-rays. With extended evening and weekend hours, we make it easy to get the care you need, when you need it.
Preparing for Your Exam
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring the following two items with you:
- Your insurance card(s).
- A valid photo ID (such as a driver's license).
How should I prepare for my specific exam?
Preparation instructions vary depending on the type of exam you are having (e.g., CT scan, X-ray). When you schedule your appointment, our team will provide you with all the necessary information. If you have any questions about your specific pre-exam instructions, please call our office.
What if I'm feeling anxious or claustrophobic?
Please let us know. Your comfort is our top priority. Our staff will communicate with you every step of the way to ease any anxiety. If you have a known history of claustrophobia, please speak with your referring doctor beforehand about whether a mild oral sedative might be a good option for you. If you plan to take a sedative, please inform our staff when you schedule so we can make the appropriate arrangements for your safety.
What if I am a person of above-average size?
Our imaging equipment has specific weight capacities to ensure patient safety and image quality. If you have any concerns, please contact the facility where your exam is scheduled. Our team will discreetly and respectfully discuss our equipment capabilities with you to ensure we can accommodate you comfortably and safely.
Your Results & Records
How do I get my images and results?
After your exam, a board-certified radiologist interprets your images and dictates a formal report. This report is sent directly to your referring physician, usually within hours. Your physician will contact you to discuss the results, as they are best equipped to create a treatment plan based on your overall health. Your results will also be made available to you through our secure patient portal. Please ask a staff member for assistance with portal access.
Where can I learn more about radiation safety?
